Meets are hosted by & on behalf of members of the CW Section of the New Zealand Alpine Club. You don't need to be a member of the NZAC to join and its a great way to meet local climbers and access some of the more popular, but slightly further afield, climbing spots. Participants of meet-ups must be totally self-sufficient and have the skills, experience and judgement to undertake activities consistent with the level of experience required for the environment. These aren't guided meets, nor do they involve any instructional training or tuition of any kind which means safety is the responsibility of each individual participant. Please ensure you have read the CW Meets Guidelines.
Depending on forecast and actual conditions, we may call off meet, change the plan, or change the requirements of a trip. This is solely at the discretion of the Meet Coordinator and a call will be made before the scheduled departure date and you will be contacted via email or text to confirm.
For more information on becoming a Meet-up Organiser information check the CW Meets Guidelines.
